Philine is a fun loving, energetic, and spontaneous yogi who is always looking for new experiences and challenges. Though yoga has been in her life in some way since watching her grandfather’s headstands as a young girl, it wasn’t until her thirties that yoga became a daily part of her life.
It was during her 10 years abroad in Costa Rica that she first experienced yoga classes that were truly intense both physically and mentally; it was nothing like the yoga she had done before! Later, while living in the US, her bond with yoga truly formed and she began her formal instruction and has since become certified in various yoga styles (Hatha yoga, Vinyasa yoga RYT200 and most currently Shiva Rea’s Prana Flow)
With her background in dance, flow and fluidity of movement in her classes are key. Her powerful themed-based Vinyasa classes are juicy, fun, playful and allow students to get out of their heads, explore their bodies, and see where it takes them. She wants students to think of the classes as adult playtime, and not work with limitations but see possibilities.
